My son began his journey with Jenny following the difficult covid period, on the run up to his GCSE’s. Taking time to identify areas requiring additional support, Jenny helped focus his attention by setting tasks based around his own interests initially, building his confidence greatly and providing him with the necessary tools to succeed. It is easy to see Jenny is passionate about her subject and I whole heartedly believe that enthusiasm breeds success. I would not hesitate to recommend Jenny, knowing the excellent grade my son achieved has much to do with her support and guidance.

I was recommended Jenny by a teacher at my son’s school. George is dyslexic and has always struggled, especially with English. He finds writing, spelling, and putting his thoughts into words on paper very challenging. Revision, coursework, and understanding what was being asked of him were all hard work. At the start of Year 11 his predicted grades were a 1 and a 2!

That was before we met Jenny. She absolutely brought him out of his shell and helped him understand things in a way that made sense to him. Jenny was calm, gentle, extremely knowledgeable, and just an excellent tutor. We couldn’t have asked for more. Without Jenny’s help, we know George’s GCSE results wouldn’t have been what they were  - a PASS grade 4 in English Literature and a PASS grade 5 in English Language - enabling George to pursue his chosen path at college.

Jenny has been an amazing tutor for English. She has helped me so much since the beginning of Year 11. Before, I was getting on average a grade 5 and just couldn't find any useful techniques to improve on this. I had become concerned that my daughter had gaps in her English ability, I therefore asked Jenny to work with her to see if she could improve things ready for her end of year exams. Jenny very quickly identified both her strengths and the areas where she could help develop her English techniques and understanding. Through a combination of online Zoom sessions and homework Jenny was very quickly able to engage my daughter and teach her how to approach different sorts of exam questions. It has been really successful and she did very well in her exams. I feel so confident in Jenny's approach - her experience means that she can very quickly understand where the pupil is at and how best to help them as an individual. She kept me fully up to date on my daughter's progress and the work she was undertaking.
